Title Terms

Coach: provides accountability and support to small group leaders.

Host Team: greet new students and place them in groups.

Small Group Leaders: consistent mentor, resource, and guardrail in a student’s life.

Service Sayings

Students: 6th-12th graders; we don’t call them kids!

Transit: 6th-9th grade environment.

InsideOut: 9th-12th grade environment.

Small Groups: students are placed into gender and grade specific groups with peers and trusted adults; the main focus of our ministry.

Multiply: when groups get too large, we “multiply” those students out into two groups.

Promotion Sunday: first Sunday in Transit for rising 6th graders and first Sunday in InsideOut for rising 9th graders.

Event Expressions

UpStreet Invasion: rising 6th grade parents and students come to tour Transit.

Vertical Reality: our fall retreat for 6th-12th graders.

Walking Wisely Weekend/myLIFE weekend: local camp where groups stay at host homes.
