Beachside Community Church started in 2008, when four families began meeting in a home to discuss the idea of creating a church that unchurched people would love to attend. Soon after, this group of families met with the leadership of North Point Ministries, in Atlanta, to learn the principles behind their success. Not long after, it was decided that Beachside would launch as a Strategic Partner church of North Point Ministries. By the summer of 2008, small groups began to spring up around the Fort Walton Beach area. In August of 2009, Beachside held its first public service.
Beachside Community Church began as a portable church and met at the Boys and Girls Club of the Emerald Coast during the first year. As a result of growth, Beachside soon moved to Choctaw High School. Continued growth meant that Beachside could no longer be portable, so the search began for a permanent home.
In 2013, Beachside purchased the former Northwest Florida Daily News building and renovations began. Sacrificial giving of both time and finances by the attenders of Beachside paved the way for the first phase of the new facility to be occupied in the summer of 2014.
The mission of Beachside Community Church is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
This is just the beginning!
