EVERYONE IS A BUILDER.

Each day, approximately 29,000 people drive past Beachside Community Church. And if the statistics are correct, over 15,000 of those people are unchurched.

Think about this reality for a moment. We’ve been positioned on Racetrack Road for 15 years as a church. What began at the Boys & Girls Club and then followed at Choctaw High School created an opportunity for us to land in our current building – all on the same corner of Racetrack Road.

Since the beginning, our focus has been to reach the lost while growing the faith of the found. We’ve done this by creating appealing environments and experiences that inspire wonder, foster community, and leave people wanting more. Our inside renovations are a perfect example of our approach. It’s now time for us to renovate the exterior of our building.

The Plan

Our No Better Block campaign begins with our desire to steward this property God gave to us. But we want to do more than make the exterior of our church beautiful and inviting. As part of this effort, we will:

Renovate Our Church Facade

Creating a more modern and inviting space helps us reach more people curious about church and faith. Additionally, this exterior renovation will create a true front entrance for our church.

Support Our Surrounding Community

Our block is a community space. Through No Better Block, we will practically invest in our neighbors at Choctaw High School, Pryor Middle School, and the Boys and Girls Club.

Create a Community Green Space

Adding a green space will give our community a place to spend time with their family, friends, neighbors, and kids. The green space will include picnic areas, kid’s play areas, and spaces for outdoor concerts and events.

HOW CAN I GIVE?

Giving takes faith and may even seem impossible at first. However, with prayer, creativity, and sacrifice, giving to No Better Block is possible for everyone!

  • You may choose to rearrange your financial priorities and give up something in your current budget in order to give.
  • You may have short-term expenditures or loans for special needs such as a car loan or a child’s college expense. Once these loans are paid off or expenses end, cash flow is freed up that can be redirected.

You may know of bonuses, raises, or income tax refunds that you will receive over the next two years. You could decide to delay increasing your lifestyle and commit the increased income.

There are some incredible tax advantages to giving appreciated assets such as stocks, bonds, real estate, etc.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I GIVE?

The amount you choose to give is a personal decision. Here are four important things to consider as you determine what to give.

  • Prayer starts it all. Nothing prepares our heart to respond to God like seeking His heart through prayer. Don’t rush this process. The longer you pray, “God show me how to give,” the more ways God will show you.
  • It is not about quantity; it’s about faith and sacrifice. One of the guiding principles behind No Better Block is “equal sacrifice, not equal gifts”. All giving in the Bible was proportional because God has given us different amounts of resources. God is interested in our hearts, not our amounts.

It is about seeking a commitment decision that is pleasing to God. For most of us, it is easy to find what is pleasing to us. But to find what is pleasing to God, we’ll have to struggle and stretch our faith through prayer and the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

Here are a few questions to help determine if your pledge amount is pleasing to God:

– Does this amount really require me to trust God? (2 Corinthians 9:6-8)
– Does this amount show I value my hope of eternal reward more than material things on earth? (1 Timothy 6:19)
– Does this amount represent a genuine sacrifice? (2 Samuel 24:24)
– Does this amount express the level of thanksgiving I have for how Christ and His church has blessed my life and my family? (Psalm 54:6)

God will grant us a peace that “passes all understanding” through the knowledge that we have made a prayerful and proportional pledge commitment that is pleasing to Him.

If you sincerely go through these four things, you’ll be able to arrive at a specific amount to give. The amount will almost always be larger than the first number that came to mind because it will be a step of faith.

Pledge Form

We believe this project is an achievable goal that can be reached by the sacrificial generosity of our Beachside attenders. Our giving initiative asks for a two-year, financial commitment above and beyond regular giving.

Thanks for your pledge to
No Better Block!

Your pledge, above your regular giving, will help us to create an inviting space to reach more people curious about church and faith. A space that is a modern, welcoming, and a true front entrance for our church.

Our vision at Beachside is to create a church that unchurched people love to attend. Through your generous support, you play a significant part in making that a reality. Thank you.
