Casa Hogar Elim is an orphanage in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico that cares for almost 100 children. Mama Lupita, who began the orphanage 30 years ago is still the primary caregiver and “mama” to these kids. She makes sure their needs are met but is really passionate about helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus. Our church has the privilege of providing regular support to help fund the basic needs of the kids, but we are also committed to taking care of their educational expenses to keep them in school- elementary school through college. We typically make several trips each year to do everything from construction work to dental work, but our favorite is to just spend time with the kids, especially at Christmas.
