It’s scary out there—no doubt about it. We’d all like to remove fear and uncertainty from our lives, but that’s not always possible. Are we destined to live scared to death or can we discover a new way of dealing with anxiety and worry?

Stop worrying about being known for something, and allow yourself to be known by a group of someones.

We all want to be KNOWN for something. But what do you do when you don’t measure up . . . even to your own standards? You’ll never become who you want to be until you are willing to face up to who you actually are. And the only way to do that is to stop worrying about being known for something, and allow yourself to be known by a group of someones.

Saving the world like Superman or rescuing the weak like Spider-Man resonates with us. But we don’t have superpowers. So, what does it look like to be a true hero?

Invitations are powerful. They come in all shapes and sizes from weddings, graduations, and parties. The list goes on and on. It’s nice to receive an invitation to any event. Even if you choose not to attend, the sender thought enough of you to ask. Jesus extended the invitation of a lifetime to a few men who left everything to become His followers. This may seem crazy until you realize how special Jesus’ invitation was.

We think that for far too long the church has been known for what it’s against. We want to be known for what we are FOR. We believe that the best place to begin might just be next to the people we live closest to. What if our neighbors knew that God is FOR them because we are FOR them?
